Newport Beach, CA. Surfsling International has won the ISPO Brand New Award for its revolutionary new surfing accessory the surf sling.
On Friday April 14, 2004 international sports experts came together in Munich, Germany to see and test all entrants for the competition of the 10th ISPO Brand New Awards. This time, 126 young companies from 19 countries applied with their innovative products. After a long day of debate the jury awarded the Teflon® Hardware Accessories Award to Surfsling International, Inc.
The surf sling is a beach towel that holds two short boards or one long board or a short board plus a wetsuit and attaches to an adjustable shoulder strap making it a hands-free carrying device. The surf sling has a large pocket for accessories, with an inner water-resistant pocket, a fastener to secure the sling around a surfer’s waist allowing it to be used as a changing device, and folds inside itself to become a beach bag. The surf sling is currently being sold in surf shops around the world and can be purchased online at www.surfsling.com.
As a winner Surfsling International will have a featured booth at ISPO, the world’s largest sports and fashion trade show held in Munich, Germany July 4-6, 2004.
