Jive-O-Matic at Silk City Tap Room

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 25, 2004 -- NORTHAMPTON, MA � May 25th 2004, / Protect-O-Matic Music Inc. and Silk City Tap Room in Florence announced today that Jive-O-Matic will appear for two free shows at 8 and 10pm on Monday, June 14th at The Silk City Tap Room. These two shows will make up the material for Jive-O-Matic�s upcoming release, �Live in Silk City�.

After an acoustic show at the Tap Room earlier this month the members of Jive-O-Matic, and it�s representation � Protectomatic Music Inc., found the room to be conducive to a great live recording and set the ball rolling. Local onsite recording company, Tobosounds, will provide the digital recordings of the shows.



In the tradition of Steely Dan, Jive-O-Matic has two members, Stan Pyrzanowski on guitar and vocals, and Loren Weisman on drums and vocals. The duo works with an ever-changing group of additional musicians in both acoustic duo and electric formats but remain the only permanent members of the group. Pryzanowski states, �We work well as a team and have not wanted to kill each other all that much, we are both achieving a direction we believe in, so we are going to stick with this mold�.

Pyrzanowski and Weisman have been writing, producing and arranging together a great deal since they met last October of 2003. The two also co-founded Protect-O-Matic Music Inc., a music consultation and representation company with their other two business partners Kurt Hilborn and Aaron Gluckler.



�Live at Silk City� is slated for a mid July release. Jive-O-Matic will enter the studio in early fall to begin tracking on a full-length follow up.
