Westland, MI--May 27, 2004--HomePyramid.com today announced the launch of its innovative service that allows homeowners and business to post any construction, installation, or maintenance project online for contractors to view and bid on competitively. "The idea came to me while working for a sprinkler company a few years ago," says Christopher A. Grzebyk, founder and CEO of Home Pyramid, Inc. "The contractor hiring process is often a bumpy road. HomePyramid.com can make the ride a lot smoother."
Homeowners and businesses can submit any type of project such as lawn care, roofing, or remodeling. The user provides as much information as they can in the form of words, exact measurements, photographs, drawings, and/or designs. The photos, drawings, and designs can be uploaded and submitted with the project description so contractors can view them before they generate an estimate.
HomePyramid.com allows its member contractors to view the details of all projects on the site so they can choose only the projects that interest them. They can also receive targeted leads through email notifications every time a new project is posted based on their location and expertise. Contractors can bid on projects without traveling to the jobsite if enough information has been provided.
Users select a contractor based upon bid price, past customer reviews, and credentials/profile, but there is no obligation to choose any of the contractors that have bid on their project. Homepyramid.com creates a community that allows homeowners and businesses to share their experiences with others, while contractors can build a reputation for themselves and their companies. Auctions and employment services for the construction industry are also available on the website.
People seeking a contractor usually consult a phone book, a referral service, or the advice of friends and family. The traditional methods of hiring a contractor may never become obsolete, but the experience can be greatly enhanced with the implementation of Grzebyk's technology. "Referrals are usually beneficial, but we take the process one step further," says Grzebyk. "We provide a marketplace where contractors can compete. All parties involved benefit from our service."
HomePyramid.com launched in March of this year. The company made appearances at the Downriver Home Improvement Show in Taylor, MI and at the Spring Home and Garden Show at the Novi Expo Center. To see more, visit http://www.HomePyramid.com
