Russian-Arabian business council was founded in 2002 after Commercial and Industrial Board of Russia signed the partnership agreement with General Union of commercial, industrial and agricultural boards of Arabian countries. Council is aimed at strengthening of the historical relationships and making use of large opportunities for development of trade and economic links between Russian Federation and the Arab countries. To reach these goals the organization carries out the following activities: promotion of creating of economic and financial structures aimed at keeping-up of already existing mutual bonds and their development; assistance to the Russian and Arab entrepreneurs via rendering them the financial, credit and investment services; promotion of innovations; creation of mutual databases (local and international) and provision of consulting services; organization and provision of the advertisement informative, translation and legal services, etc.
Council consists of two parts (sections) - Russian and Arab, each of which being established by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moscow and General Union of chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture for Arab countries in Beirut, accordingly. The Russian Section comprises representatives from the business elite and circles of Russian Federation, the Arab Section embraces representatives of chambers of commerce and industry and business circles of Arab countries. Each Section has its own Administration headed by the Chairman. Semi-annual joint meetings of the Russian and Arab Sections are envisaged twice a year alternatively in Russia and in Arab countries to handle actual issues pertaining Russian-Arab trade and economical relations.
With 2000 employees and 44 products in the field of Convergent pre- and post-paid Billing and Customer Care, Intelligent Services, Analytical Systems, Internet Solutions, and more, CBOSS Association is an innovation-driven international provider of IT solutions for telecom. CBOSS implemented 745 installations for telecom operators, servicing in sum 40M subscribers in 19 countries (including UK, Canada, Norway, Austria and Australia) on four continents, and takes pride in having 141 customers around the globe. Arabian market is of the most perspective for CBOSS products. And they have already earned good reputation here: XPress Telecommunication, a telecom carrier from Jordan, signed in the beginning of the year 2004 a contract on purchase of a suite of CBOSS solutions for automation of telecom business. For the time being it uses 14 Association’s products. XPress Telecommunication stuff was educated in Russia and Jordan in Spring 2004.
CBOSS top-management is sure that participation in the Russian-Arabian business council will lead to expansion of CBOSS business and will strengthen its reputation. The press service of the Russian-Arab Business Council stressed that information technologies field is key sphere of cooperation between Russia and the Middle East countries. Now that CBOSS has become a member of the council, this cooperation will gain new impetus.
