June 15, 2004 (Press Release) --
For the family of Timothy James Young, the pain is nearly unbearable. Timothy was last seen in West Glover, VT at 8:30 Tuesday morning, January 20, 2004 by family members as they were leaving for work. He was wearing a tan winter jacket, blue jeans and black dress shoes. Timothy's case is special. Suffering from a mental illness and away from home without his medication, he could be disoriented and not know where to go for help.
Unfortunately, a person disappears every two minutes in the U.S. Some are only gone for a few hours, some have simply walked away from their unhappy lives and others become victims of violence. Nevertheless, a family left to wonder is a hurting family indeed. Sadly, a missing young woman generates far more media attention than a missing young man, yet we love our children the same no matter what age or sex they are.
Case Watchers, a criminal trial news site, profiled the case of Timothy James Young hoping to bring new awareness to his plight. Encouraging those from all walks of life to get involved, Case Watchers developed the "Sponsor a Missing Person Program," which allows website owners to exchange links with specific pages. Only a few weeks old, the program has been enormously successful generating hundreds of hits. Case Watchers also provides a printable poster for each missing person page and a place where readers can leave messages of encouragement for the families.
Currently profiled on Case Watchers are missing: Maura Murray(NH), Michael Allen Jarvi(OR), Jerry Strege(WI), Suzanne Lyall(NY), Audrey Herron(NY), Kelli Ann Cox(TX), Shalyn Caraballo(NY), Kent Jacobs(NC), Jason Jolkowski(NB), Beverly Ulrich(SD), and Joanna Rogers(TX).
Readers can help find Timothy James Young by printing out his poster and asking stores to display it in their windows. http://www.casewatchers/missing/FindTimothy.html

As parents, we can think of nothing worse than not knowing where our children are.
