IBM's former Director of Corporate Business Intelligence offers tips on how to prevent identity theft
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 17, 2004 --
As IBM's director of corporate business Intelligence, Sydney Newman Dotson, author of "No Greater Deception," created several systems, including IBM's Field Intelligence Posse.
Following are some of Dotson's tips on how to protect against identity theft:
- Everyone should inform all of your children what is to happen with your estate upon your death.
- Tell everyone the name of your executor.
- Give the executor the original signed will and keys to your safe deposit box.
- Put a copy of your will in your safe deposit box.
- Have your executor videotape you as you describe each of your assets and to whom they are bequeathed. This videotape is an excellent gift for you to leave your family.
- End the video by stating that any changes to your will or the videotape will be given to your executor. State their name again.
This will prevent any possible domestic identity thefts from occurring.
