On July 16, 2004, surfboard shaper Shawn Ambrose and his fiancée, former professional snowboarder Heather Mazelli, will officially open their men and women's surfboard store at the corner of Coast Highway and Eucalyptus in Oceanside.
Since meeting in 2000, Shawn and Heather have teamed to develop their customized surfboard business into a growing success by adding to Shawn's line of men's surfboards a line of surfboards specifically tailored for women. Their new store and online business also features clothing and surfing accessories to meet all surfers' needs.
With their store's grand opening, customers will now be able to watch Shawn shape surfboards to customer specifications. Until now, Shawn and Heather have enjoyed tremendous success around the country and offshore with the help of the online part of their surfboard business at www.trixiesurf.com and www.realsurfshop.com.
Before opening the "Real Surf Shop," San Diegan shaper, Shawn Ambrose, shaped surfboards for 25 years for Rusty, Gordon & Smith, Dewey Weber, and himself under the "Jester" and "Trixie" logos.
