Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Purification Systems Optimized For Country Living by Calgary Homelife Enviro Store.
Homelife Enviro Store Inc. now supplies reverse osmosis water purification systems that compensate for low well water system pressure and eliminates waste water through the use of a permeate pump.
Homelife Enviro Store Inc. has developed a full line of water treatment solutions for homeowners that live in the country and do not have the luxury of city water and city water pressure.
Reverse Osmosis Water Purification System Engineered for Rural Well water Applications
“We have incorporated the use of an electric booster pump which increases the pressure of the incoming water allowing the RO system to operate at its optimum level” says Gary Cerantola, engineering and sales representative for Homelife Enviro Store. These (12v or 24v) pumps are powered via a transformer. We mount them on a board adjacent to the RO. These pumps are configured into the system to operate with a PSW Tank Shut-Off Switch. The pump operates at minimum power requirements (only 14 watts). The booster pump ensures the water pressure is high enough on the supply side of the membrane to optimize the separation of water from its contaminants to produce the ultimate in pure great tasting water.
The use of a permeate pump is also designed for this system to improve efficiency of the RO system. It does this by using the lost energy in the waste water (brine) and transfers this inside the pump to the incoming supply, boosting the pressure. An additional benefit of the permeate pump is that it isolates the back pressure from the storage tank thereby allowing the membrane to operate at full inlet pressure all the time.
This type of pump requires no electricity. It is powered by energy from brine normally lost to the drain. The permeate pump increases membrane life and improves the effective water quality of the system by eliminating total dissolved solids creep as the pressurized water storage tank gets near the fill pressure. The RO water storage tank will also fill up five times faster than normal with the use of a permeate pump.
Homelife Enviro Store has developed drinking water solution packages that homeowners can select based on their specific water analysis and specific family needs. These solution packages are carefully outlined and explained to the customer such that the customer understands the capabilities, and the trade offs of each solution.
The Homelife Enviro Store website – www.homelife-enviro.com features a comprehensive set of helpful articles to inform people about air and water contamination as well as provides an extensive set of links to environmental bodies, educational and institutional resources to help people learn more about their homelife environment.
