CUTE GAMES WITH BRAINS

Blueskied releases two challenging puzzle games. Bound Around mixes action and puzzle solving. Its smaller brother, Summer Bound, is available for free. The games' strength lies in the refreshing way they cross the boundaries of game genres that are usually seen as separated: They mix the exciting action of arcade games and the relaxing and creative fun of puzzle games.

In both games the player controls a steadily jumping tennis ball which has to break colored blocks in over hundred rooms of a happy, bright world. The rooms are guarded by funny animal creatures, each with its own abilities and moving patterns.

Players need logic and creative thinking to take advantage of the animals' abilities. For example, there's a pelican that likes to drop bombs on the player. The bombs are hazardous, but their explosive power can as well be used to blow up barred passages.

The gaming action takes place in a friendly, nonviolent world. Starting rather easy and getting harder as the player opens new worlds by solving rooms, the games are designed to provide entertainment to people of all ages.

Multiple players can accept the challenge. The comfortable auto-save feature keeps track of their progress. People who are stuck find help in the hints and solutions pages that can be accessed from inside of the games.

Both games run under Windows and have a minimum requirement of 133 MHz CPU and 16MB RAM.

Bound Around is priced at $19.95(US). Please visit www.blueskied.com to download a free 12-level demo version. Purchasers of the full version will receive a free bonus game. Summer Bound is free and can be downloaded from www.blueskied.com/summer_bound.htm
