FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Crazy Ex-Radio DJ and Heart Attack Victim
Built TalkingJokes.com to Help Fight Stress
Marinette, WI (PRWEB) 6/25/04. Former radio DJ Nick "Louis" Hetcher is a two time heart attack survivor who is on a passionate mission to help people "stress-less," (as he would say) and enjoy life more thru the creation of his zany new web site TalkingJokes.com.
Two heart attacks at age 33, followed by a cataract in each eye are not common expectations for a seemingly healthy young man. Could they have possibly been avoided with less stress in his life?
Hetcher, now 48, has been an avid fan of laughter and comedy since childhood when he first started doing celebrity impressions at age of 12. "I remember my first impressions of W.C. Fields and Jimmy Stewart and living the characters so much it must have driven my parents crazy. They were always supportive of everything I did, even the drug dealing. Little joke there. They didn't know about that or they would have been. Another joke," says Hetcher.
Hetcher attended college in Milwaukee in the mid-1970's to become an actor and even moved to Hollywood at age 20 to try his hand at stand up. "All I can remember was my first joke, I wore these huge sunglasses and said, ‘So this is Hollywood, where Plastic was invented?'" Later he became a radio DJ and wrote a joke service for DJ's called "In the Bag Jokes," which were mailed in brown lunch bags.
"I guess the web site is kind of a culmination of my life thus far. I have this passion to help others really enjoy life more," says Hetcher.
According to the Indiana University School of Medicine, there is evidence that laughter relaxes tense muscles, reduces production of stress-causing hormones, lowers blood pressure, and helps increase oxygen absorption in the blood. It also helps you burn calories since it's possible to move 400 muscles of the body when laughing.
So Hetcher's interest in helping a stressed out world with his TalkingJokes just may be the "stress-less" ticket for many.
