July 7, 2004 (Press Release) --
Wisconsin author, Christine Calnin has been called to fill a void in the Wisconsin women writers' community by being named the Wisconsin Regional Representative for the National Association of Women Writers (NAWW). It is her mission to add value to writing women's lives by offering them the excellent services NAWW has to offer.
The National Association of Women Writers is a nonprofit organization founded in 2001 to develop a support and assistance network for women writers. NAWW strives to inspire, motivate, and teach women writers through publications, workshops, and conferences.
National membership is open to all women writers regardless of their portfolio. NAWW Regional Representatives organize meetings, workshops and other activities of interest to women writers on a local level.
"Wisconsin has many talented women writers, unfortunately, there are only a handful of NAWW members," Calnin says and encourages interested parties to contact her via her website: www.ChristineCalnin.com for more information. Her first meeting for prospective and current members is slated for August.
Additional information on the National Association of Women Writers can be found on the NAWW site at www.NAWW.org where writers can also sign up for "NAWW Weekly", a free weekly inspirational and how-to ezine for women writers.
Christine Calnin is a freelance writer, published in many genres both in print and on the web and has won awards for her work from children’s literature to mystery to adult fiction. She hopes to assist aspiring writers with their craft and learn from more experienced writers as well.
Her first novel, "Addicted to Sex" -- an erotic thriller, is the first book in the 'Behind the Apron Series' which follows a family of female assassins whose history of seduction and murder reaches back over 500 years. “Addicted to Sex” is garnering great reviews and movie rights are being discussed.
"Addicted to Sex" was published in February 2004 and is available at book stores, through Amazon.com or her website: www.ChristineCalnin.com.
