POND TOUR TO BENEFIT THE INTERNATIONAL WATERLILY AND WATER GARDENING SOCIETY

Harleysville, PA; July 18, 2004 � Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws, Inc. will hold their First Annual Pond Tour from 10am � 4pm on Sunday, July 18, 2004. Following the tour, from 5pm � 9pm, there will be a social at the store complete with refreshments, door prizes, and special offers. Eleven ponds have been selected within a 14-mile radius of the store for people to explore various size ponds, filtration systems, waterfalls, plants, fish and other aquatic life. Pond tour guides may be purchased in advance at Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws, Inc. for a $5.00 donation. At 6:00pm there will be a photo opportunity as the donations for these guides will be presented to the International Waterlily and Water Gardening Society (IWGS).

Pond and water garden enthusiasts may pick up and pay for their pond tour guide book at Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws, Inc. during store hours until the day of the event. Tour participants can then use the maps and follow signs to tour the eleven water gardens, in any order, on their own on July 18 between the hours of 10:00 am � 4:00 pm. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and take photographs during their tour. From 5:00 to 7:00 PM tour participants can meet back at the store and enjoy refreshments, meet an IWGS representative, meet with other pond enthusiasts, enjoy special savings at the store and watch the presentation of the monies earned from the pond tour guides at 6:00 pm.



Ponds and water gardens hold a special attraction to people of all ages. The excitement of a waterfall, the sound of splashing water and the tranquil setting to view floating water lilies and colorful fish all add to the appeal. This pond tour is a benefit for the International Waterlily and Water Gardening Society (IWGS), a non-profit corporation organized to promote all aspects of water gardening and associated plants and support the education, research, and conservation in these areas.
