July 14, 2004 (Press Release) --
Taylorsville, UT, July 14, 2004. Legacy Village Apartments and Villas celebrated their grand openings Saturday, July 10, 2004 with two ribbon-cutting ceremonies performed by Taylorsville Mayor, Janice Auger, the Taylorsville City Council and the Chamberwest Chamber of Commerce. Also present for the ceremony were the partners of Western States Lodging—owners and developers of the apartments and villas, along with residents and guests.
After the ribbon cutting ceremonies, residents and guests enjoyed a large buffet, drawings, and entertainment. Tours were given of Legacy Village apartments and villas models, which are now open, and hardhat tours were given at Legacy House Taylorsville, a new assisted living center that will open in September 2004.
Legacy Village Apartments provide affordable living in one or two bedroom apartments for seniors 62 and older. The apartments are partially funded with housing tax credits provided through Utah Housing Corporation. Legacy Village Villas are designed for empty nesters who want to enjoy more of their free time and work less on yard care and other home care demands.
Legacy Village was developed by Western States Lodging, an established local company, with each of the owners having roots in Utah. Western Sates also has senior communities in Logan, Washington Terrace, Bountiful, South Jordan, and St. George. Legacy Village was constructed by C & A Construction, Inc of Provo, Utah and are marketed and managed by Prudential Utah Real Estate and Apartment Management Consultants, LLC, both of Salt Lake City.
