For the first time in the 25-year history, the annual fall festival will relocate from Fifth Avenue to the gloriously restored Washington Square Park and surrounding areas of the New York University Campus, one of the New York's most creative and energetic communities, a historic neighborhood that has attracted generations of writers, musicians, artists, and intellectuals.
With a vibrant new location, as well as an impressive and exciting array of events, the celebration is expected to attract extensive media coverage and an unprecedented number of visitors. Washington Square Park will be transformed into a magical children's pavilion for kids of all ages. The public will be able to enjoy more opportunities to meet and interact with celebrated authors, participate in a host of new family-focused activities, and enjoy free panels on October 2 and 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., both indoors and outdoors on the NYU campus. Exhibitors are encouraged to make reservations promptly since space is limited.
