Armenia is one of the most ancient grape growing and processing countries in the world. According to Antique Greek, Roman, Armenian, and other sources, confirmed by many archeological discoveries, Armenia’s winemaking tradition is at least 3,000 years old. However, Armenia is better known for its brandy, which it began producing in the late 19th century. Today brandy is a symbol of Armenia and an important export product. Armenian brandy won its first Grand-Prix gold medal in France in 1904, which has been followed by 51 gold, 21 silver and 3 bronze medals over the years. Armenian Brandy has always been in high demand in countries of former USSR, but it is now becoming popular on new markets and sold in 25 countries.
Armenian brandies are aged in oak barrels. The combination of the beaming sun in the Ararat valley, the fertile land and Armenian spring water results in the excellent quality of the Armenia brandy. It has won silver and gold medals in numerous international shows. It's no wonder why since it is truly one of the best brandies in the world, the only type William Churchill drank (Stalin often complained that Churchill cared more about next shipment of Armenian brandy to him than how the war was going).
Aiko LLC announced that it is importing the Armenia flagship brandy brand to the US states. It is 5 years old and competitively priced in the premium category. Together with its most exquisitely designed decanter, quality ingredients and original recipe, this winning combination is set to become the model in the world of brandies. Each unique glass bottle (750ml) - Spanish Bull, Sabre, Sabre & Scabbard, Bear, and Machinegun - is hand-made by the team of three craftsmen. Each decanter is filled by hand and sealed under the supervision of their master distiller, guaranteeing continual quality control. This results in the finest grade 40% brandy available to cognac and brandy lovers.
“Our portfolio expansion strategy responds to the growing number of requests for Armenian brandy by US distributors. Armenians produce some of the world’s finest brandy. We are pleased to offer our US cognac and brandy consumers with the highest quality brands for their enjoyment”, said Igor Kogan, Vice President of Aiko LLC.
