August 5, 2004 (Press Release) --
Philadelphia, PA -The producer is just 13 years old. Broadway star Addison Timlin is currently reuniting the performers from a recent NETworks and Theater of the Stars National tour of the Broadway hit Annie which was directed by Annie creator Martin Charnin. The cause is to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The show will be staged on August 13 – 15 at the Branch Creek Theater in Harleysville, PA. Joining Ms. Timlin (Annie) on the stage will be other National tour veterans: Victoria Oscar (Ms Hannigan), David Reynolds (Daddy Warbucks), Rachel Abrams (Ms Farrel), Billy Kimmel (Rooster) and Musical Director, Brant Challacombe. The cast of orphans is comprised of talent from PA/NY/NJ who all are thrilled to be in such wonderful company and help to raise awareness and aid these organizations.
Addison speaks from the heart when she explains that her cousin’s life was saved at CHOP and how a close family friend, Samantha, is afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis. Samantha is currently 1 of 100 participating in a trial study at Johns Hopkins. Addison realized the impact that she could have by using her talents after rounding up a group of artistic tykes to sing for children at CHOP during a recent holiday season.
At 13, Addison has accomplished a lot in a short amount of time. She has been performing since she was 5 years old and recently worked along side the Tony award winning Ms. Bernadette Peters with the Academy Award winning, Sam Mendes as he directed the revival of Gypsy on Broadway. Addison appealed to her friends from the Annie National Tour for this worthy cause and they all accepted from across the country.
All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and CHOP. Show dates are August 13 -15 at the Branch Creek Theater in Harleysville, PA. Show times are Fri. 7:30 p.m., Sat. 1 p.m. and Sun. 4 p.m. with ticket prices set at $15 for general admission, $25 for preferred seating and a Family 4-pack for $49.
