Demba and Isha’s marriage started blissfully until the military junta struck, landing Demba in one of the notorious jails in Africa. In search of a safe passage for his diamonds from Freetown to Europe, Senator Jeffrey Clarke, diamond merchant and ex-Enron executive, arrived Fambia with U.S. trade delegation to commission the Export Free Zone Project. There, Clarke met Isha & enjoyed a casual romantic fling. Neither Isha nor Clarke knew that the one-night-stand would haunt their lives forever. Could divorce, blackmail or death be the only solution to this scandalous situation now that Demba is out of prison? “WHITE FOR BLACK book is a didactic window on the dynamics of friendship, the vicissitudes of marriage, the frontiers of fidelity, the clash of cultures and generations, the might of money, and the socio-political and economic porcupines and challenges of other parts of the world. It is an emotion-laden tale of tragedy and triumph, a window on the real world out there, a lesson on patience, truth, tolerance and forgiveness, and I highly recommend it.” Paschal Eze, book fair organizer, former daily newspaper & monthly magazine editor-in-chief.
