August 13, 2004 (Press Release) --
MaxiVista® provides new purpose for old laptop computers
Bartels Media announces the release of the Windows software MaxiVista which saves PC users from buying expensive hardware monitors and graphic adapters.
MaxiVista allows using any secondary PC as an additional display of a primary PC.
Low-cost Dual Monitor solution
PC users have a natural demand for maximum screen real estate, and may be interested in obtaining additional monitors to increase their desktop real estate. Instead of purchasing expensive gear, MaxiVista users do not require pricey dualhead graphic cards and hardware monitors. MaxiVista turns any existing desktop, laptop or tablet secondary PC into a Dual Monitor in a snap.
No additional hardware required
MaxiVista includes a virtual graphics adapter which fakes the primary PC into believing that there is an additional monitor display installed. The screen content of this extra display is transmitted to the secondary PC via a standard network connection and displayed by the MaxiVista viewer program:
Thanks to the patent pending driver and compression technology, MaxiVista provides a lossless image quality at high screen refresh-rates without creating much CPU or network load.
MaxiVista is available at www.maxivista.com for US$ 49.95 in English and Spanish language. You can download a free trial version from the same web address. MaxiVista runs under Windows 2000/XP.
