August 17, 2004 (Press Release) --
ATLANTA (GoodNewsAmerica.us) August 17, 2004 - Last Friday the self-described "Man of The People", John Kerry, flew his French hairdresser, Isabelle Goetz, to him from DC for a haircut. This was Ms. Goetz’s second summons to deal with Kerry’s “hair issues” while campaigning. Freshly quaffed, and with a slight lead in the polls, Kerry decided to take his third vacation of the campaign for 4 days at his Idaho Ketchum Mansion.
While on his latest R&R junket, Kerry took his plane to Portland for windsurfing. On the plane back to Idaho he remarked on his variety of sports interests, saying, “The guys who do it are all local guys - plumbers, construction workers.” When pressed if these "local guys" can fly from state to state to indulge in their hobby he says, “What? 250 bucks for a ticket?”
Kerry's first vacation of the campaign came when he visited his other Idaho mansion in Sun Valley for 4 days of rest in March.
Referring to hits on the President’s frequent escapes, Kerry remarked at a Cleveland, OH Campaign event in early July, "You're not going to have to look for us on vacation." A week later Kerry was on his second vacation at his Nantucket mansion for four days.
Aides say Kerry will campaign only sporadically over the next three weeks.
