Gubbinsway Falls NPD Launches A.D.D Created Furniture Line that Offers More than Just Beauty.
Aurora, IL—August 26, 2004—The design and development team at Gubbinsway Falls NPD announces the launch of the ‘4U Collection’, a furniture product line designed to create innovative solutions to everyday problems. The result is a full line of modern furniture with names like ‘lollipop’, ‘Soulmate’, and ‘Stork, created by a designer with Attention Deficit Disorder.
The 4U Collection was designed to address the inevitable problems that accompany modern life such as lost remote controls, home theatre system needs, DVD/Video storage, etc. As the name implies, the 4U collection was created for you, with you in mind. “We asked people what problems were recurring in their home-life, then designed furniture with accommodating features in a contemporary style,” says designer Arik J. Bannister.
The end product emphasizes bold colors, adventurous and contemporary designs, and functional innovation. Bannister says, “The pieces not only offer aesthetic value and style, they offer solutions to common problems, so they become a part of your life.” For example, the Soulmate coffee table has two small plate-size tables that are suspended atop black steel posts, and attach to the top of the coffee table to provide an area for eating. The underside of the table offers discreet remote control storage, via Velcro™.
Arik J. Bannister, who created the 4U Collection, was diagnosed with Inattentive Attention Deficit two years ago, a discovery the design team feels is actually a company strength, ”It is really amazing how he can see so many ideas in his mind in 3-D, and describe it in a way that you can see it before it even exists,” says Marketing Director Ruksana Shibly.
4U also carries a double meaning...each piece has at least 4 Uses.
