Southern California Homebuilder Partners with Local Police Department to Reach Teens.

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 31, 2004 -- Project founder and Fontana Police Officer Ward Haas says �We had some great ideas on the table, but we didn�t have the money or resources that we needed to pull it off like we wanted. When Young Homes stepped in, we were elated.�

According to event founder Haas the collaboration represents the first of its kind in the area. The Fontana Police Department has held other events, but none that were co-sponsored at this level. It is also sponsored by contributions from other local individuals and businesses.

�When I heard what officer Haas and the department was doing, I got excited. I immediately wanted to be a part of it� explained Young Homes President and CEO Reggie King, �Something like this has such great potential to help the kids and community of Fontana now and in the future.�

To date, Young Homes has contributed over $10,000 in funds and resources to the event. �We are committed to doing everything we can to support this event and make it a success� says King. King adds �We are interested in anything that can make our community the best that it can be.�

The event is slated for October 16, 2004 and will be at Jack Bulik Park in Fontana, Ca. Event promoters expect over 10,000 participants.
