Tricycle / So So Def Debut Artist Jarvis crowned Homecoming King.

Lithia Springs, GA, September 24, 2004: Lithia Springs High Schools student body voted fellow student and Tricycle / So So Def recording artist, Jarvis, their 2004 Homecoming King.
It came as no surprise that Jarvis would be nominated to the Homecoming Court, but he was amazed that he actually won Homecoming King. The days leading up to the final decision and ceremony were filled with controversy. When Jarvis first learned the nomination, he wasnt sure hed be able to attend the ceremony due to the hectic schedule of promoting the single, Radio, rehearsing and recording for his upcoming CD. All that week I had been performing in metro-Atlanta high schools with Lloyd (The Inc.s newest artist) and Ee-Dee (NME Records newest artist) to promote a Free Fall concert at Earthlink Live that Sunday. Since I had been in and out of school so much that week, I didnt think the school would let me participate. They even had a back-up escort on stand-by to take my place, stated Jarvis. After careful consideration Jarviss principal, allowed the teen heart-throb to participate in the homecoming festivities. With one hurdle down, the next was the most serious obstacle facing any teen in Jarviss position. What was Jarvis going to wear? The schools specific Homecoming Court dress code required Jarvis to wear a suit or a blazer. Now that Jarviss video was playing on BET, he knew he couldnt just wear anything. I treated like a practice run of the MTV VMAs Red-Carpet Show, said the teen trendsetter. He found his ideal fashion statement on the racks of his favorite designer shop, Signature 4 Men. He selected a soft light-weight tan jacket with a grey hooded sweatshirt attached under the jacket, his trademark Jarvis belt, grayish-black jeans and white Nike Air Force Ones. At the beginning of the game as Jarvis was preparing to enter the convertible car with his escort, he was informed that he would not be allowed to participate in the Homecoming half-time procession because of his attire. To compromise, Jarvis tucked in the designer hooded sweatshirt and slipped a shirt and tie under the jacket. Although the actual announcement of the Homecoming King would not occur until after the game during the dance, the announcement of the nominees would take place during half-time. When Jarvis was announced both sides of the stadium screamed as nearly all of the females rose to their feet to confirm that he was really The Jarvis, with the video Radio on BET. The high-pitched screams of all the ladies drowned out the announcer as he continued naming the other nominees. By then, it was obvious that Jarvis was going to win Homecoming King later that night, said Christopher Young, CEO of Tricycle Records. And three hours later, Christopher Youngs hunch came true.
