One of the coolest cars to hit the road this year, a 2005 MINI Cooper Convertible, will be raffled off as the Grand Prize, at the area’s most anticipated community events -- the 11th Annual Long Island Fall Festival, scheduled for Oct. 8 through Oct. 11, 2004 (Columbus Day) in Heckscher Park, Huntington, New York.
Raffle tickets may be purchased by calling the Chamber of Commerce Regional Business Partnership (631-423-6100), by visiting Habberstad MINI (959 East Jericho Tpke, Huntington Station or 631-486-MINI) or ordering online at www.lifallfestival.com. Tickets are $20 each or six for $100. The drawing will be held during the closing ceremony of the festival on Oct. 11 and participants need not be present to win.
“We are delighted to support this wonderful event and hope that our involvement helps to make this year’s festival even more successful than in the past,” said Erik Habberstad, owner of Habberstad MINI dealership in Huntington, NY. “We are active supporters of our community and believe that our involvement in this event is the perfect opportunity to give back and say thank you to the residents of Long Island for their loyalty and patronage.
There are other great prizes in store for those participating in this year’s raffle. Second prize includes two first class round trip tickets to Phoenix, courtesy of American Airlines, as well as two nights stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. Third prize is a one year gym membership, courtesy of New York Sports Club.
“The support of our local businesses is instrumental to the success of the Festival. We are extremely grateful to Erik Habberstad, owner of Habberstad MINI, American Airlines and the New York Sports Club for their support and generosity,” said Dennis Sneden, Chamber of Commerce President and CEO.
