Denver CO –September 15, 2004 – Michael Rivellino, vice president of Danion Industries Incorporated, of Boca Raton, Florida, manufacturer of the ProQuick magnetic picture hook, reports that the hooks are now available at Lowe’s home improvement centers and ACE hardware store locations nationwide, distributed by The Hillman Group. The hooks will also be available, over the next few months, at other retail locations where Hillman and Anchor products are sold. The ProQuick magnetic hooks were first introduced to the picture framing industry at Décor Expo Atlanta show in September 2002, and will continue to be available at custom picture framing shops nationwide.
The magnetic hook is a revolutionary picture hanger that is poised to change the way artwork is hung. The ProQuick Magnetic Hook is the first innovation in picture hook design and utility in over fifty years. This patented hanger makes hanging artwork fast, easy and secure.
The way they work is simple. The top of the hanger is angled, and a hardened steel nail rests in a recessed area when hammered into place. Its angular design and magnetic energy guide the picture wire into place without the awkward, reach-around-blindly-while-a-friend-holds-the picture trick that we’ve all done before.
Rivellino points out that, unlike other hangers, the ProQuick Magnetic Hook has no surface upon which the wire can get caught except the hook itself. Simply lift the framed picture or mirror up to the hook and the wire is attracted by the magnet and guided into the hook as the frame is lowered into place.
In addition, the hanger’s design offers more than just the angular and magnetic features. It ensures that the hanger holds its position and will not pull away from the wall over time. Removal for painting or relocating is simple. Just lift upwardly on the ProQuick’s side-wall and the hook is easily removed in seconds. To reinstall, just align and insert the pin-like nails into the existing holes and the ProQuick Magnetic Hanger will seat perfectly into place.
Alternative ways of mounting include wood screws, sheet metal screws or hollow wall anchors…features only available with the ProQuick Magnetic Hook. The hangers not only make the job easier, they are strong and provide a safe and secure method for hanging artwork, mirrors, sculptures and the like.
Laboratory testing of the hangers, mounted in ½” drywall, shows that the BKT25sl and BKT40sl, their smallest models will hold up to 25 and 40 lbs. respectively, while their larger models, BKT50sl, BKT50, BKT75, and BKT160 hold from up to 50 lbs., 75 lbs., and 160 lbs respectively using the various mounting methods.
