October 14, 2004 (Press Release) --
Roger Lee the designer of the Reading Master is seeking a distributor for a printed version of the book, and for a cd. He also is seeking webmasters to use the program as a freebie.
Those who wish to contact the designer to review a ”free” program , may contact him at: wrogerlee@yahoo.com.
Roger Lee introduces his innovative Phonics program “The Reading Master,” which may be found at: www.readingmaster.info. Traditionally the “See It-Say It Method” has been used to teach reading in schools, which means after the student is taught the phonics, he/she then is taught to read orally. As we remember, we each proudly took our turn reading aloud in class. This method produces “motor reading.” That is, the brain learns to focus on the word, mentally pronounce the word, and then the eye jerks to the next word. This produces slow, methodical reading.
The Reading Master provides an alternative to the traditional method. The program consist of a 33 page ebook, and a computer program. The ebook is designed both teach the phonics, while giving practice in sight-reading. The computer program also gives sight-reading practice.
