The L.P. A STORY ABOUT THE 2003 INVASION OF IRAQ
LISTENING POST: n. 1. A station for collecting information electronically, often located in a foreign country. 2. An old military term. A point very near enemy lines used for detecting rival movements by sound, sight and other means. Used primarily in American infantry warfare from the Mexican War to present. Commonly referred to by the abbreviation, “L.P.”
Five young American soldiers are sent out on a lonely listening post during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sergeant Parker's a reservist, called back to active duty for the invasion, and he knows that he's in trouble. He's young, inexperienced and a
newly promoted leader of an under-strength infantry squad. And as if that weren't enough, he's also acquired two young Iraqi women, daughters of a dead Iraqi intelligence colonel. Surrounded by an Iraqi Republican Guard counter attack, Parker has to decide - do they fight, hide or surrender? But Murphy's Law dictates that things can always get worse, and so… they do. Parker and his L.P. squad have learned something so sinister, so evil, that the information must be gotten back. If they're caught, the women will be raped and brutally murdered and Parker and his men will be viciously beheaded. So, they plunge even deeper behind enemy lines, facing death from every direction as they race across Iraq. Hotly pursued by a vengeful force, Parker must get the message back,
no matter what the cost! The fate of the Western world – their world – depends on… “The L.P."
