October 18, 2004 (Press Release) --
New Paltz, NY (October 14, 2004) –The Business Marketing Association of the Hudson Valley (BMA-HV), the newly formed chapter of the preeminent Chicago-based national not-for-profit Business Marketing Association (BMA), is pleased to announce that it will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, October 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at SUNY New Paltz's Terrace Restaurant. The BMA serves professionals from the business-to-business marketing and communications industries.
In keeping with their fast-growing reputation for securing top nationally renowned speakers for their events, BMA-HV principals have arranged for marketing guru Marshall Dickman to present an educational program at the October 26 meeting. Dickman has over 40 years experience in strategic marketing communications, and the long list of accounts he has serviced in that time include IBM, Tektronix, NUWAVE Technologies, Pinnacle Systems, Hitachi and NOVA Corp. He is the founder of MSDMarketing, a full service marketing consultancy. Based in Red Hook and a frequent lecturer at area colleges—including City University of NY, the College of St. Rose, SUNY Albany and SUNY New Paltz—his October 26 presentation will be titled “Building the Plan: How to develop and work with a marketing plan."
Says Bob Kurtz, BMA-HV President, "We are delighted to host Marshall Dickman at our October 26 meeting. He is known and respected in both business and academic arenas. His commitment to education mirrors our own."
Though only in its tenth month, the BMA-HV is showing itself to be one of the most active and influential business organizations in the Hudson Valley. In addition to its educational outreach programs, BMA-HV has become a major networking force within the community. Its membership has been growing steadily, and its line of speakers continues to be extremely impressive. To support continued growth, board members have decided to accept charter memberships at a discounted fee throughout the end of the year.
Some of the benefits of becoming a BMA-HV member include the ability to keep up with new trends, techniques and technologies, networking opportunities, resource sharing and camaraderie for the B2B business community.
Interested professionals who wish to improve their business-to-business marketing skills for greater productivity and profitability are encouraged to attend the October 26th meeting and learn firsthand what the organization has to offer. The registration fee for each attendee is $25, or $15 for students with valid ID. Meetings now include a buffet dinner. To register or for more information about the Hudson Valley BMA, call Patti Kurtz at 845-679-3275 or visit www.bmahv.org.
