East Valley Family YMCA in North Hollywood holds grand reopening!

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 20, 2004 -- North Hollywood, CA - If you haven't heard of the East Valley Family YMCA, located near the corner of Magnolia and Tujunga in North Hollywood, you're not alone. The East Valley Family YMCA has been in the same location for over 50 years, yet there are residents of the neighborhood who are still just discovering its existence.

The East Valley Family YMCA is now proud to offer a newly upgraded facility including an expanded weight/cardio room with 22 new pieces of cardio and strength training equipment, resurfaced pool, newly painted lockers and carpeting in the locker rooms, two new group exercise studios with hardwood floors and the building's centerpiece - a brand new atrium where members can relax in a peaceful outdoor setting.

The cardio room features full circuit strength training, treadmills, elliptical trainers, upright bikes, and recumbent bikes. The weight room sports a Smith machine, Olympic bench, curling bars and a full array of brand new dumbbells.

The Healthy Lifestyles and Aquatics programs offer great classes to members such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Aerobics, Pilates, Step Express, Swim Lessons for children and adults, Water Aerobics, AFYAP Twinges and our newest class, Ballroom Dancing.

The Youth Sports Program offers Junior Lakers/Shooting Sparks basketball leagues and Junior Kings Roller Hockey Leagues.

Before and After School child care is offered at three sites in the East Valley area for children in kindergarten through 8th grade.
