Indiana Girl's Basketball Pre-Season Honors Announced

November 7, 2004 (Press Release) -- Indiana's Girls High School basketball season is set to get underway on November 8th and IndianaBball.Com has just released it's annual list of Pre-Season All-State including their choice for Pre-Season Player of the Year.

Alexandria's Jodi Howell, a Senior that has committed to play for Purdue, is the 2004-2005 selection for Pre-season Player of the Year. Howelll heads a first team that is comprised of six Seniors including Dana Beaven of Corydon Central, Cassie Kerns of Valparaiso, Tara Miller of North Harrison, and Cassie Pruzin of Crown Point. There are five Juniors on the first team. Ashley Barlow of Pike, Amber Harris of North Central, Dee Dee Jernigan of East Chicago Central, Fahkara Malone of Evansville Memorial, and Maria Olsthoorn of Castle should be the core of a Junior All-Star team that is going to give the Seniors a run for their money. One Sophomore rounds out the list, Ta'Shia Phillips of Brebeuf, IndianaBBall.Com's 2004 Freshman of the Year and Student Sports National Freshman of the Year.
