November 9, 2004 (Press Release) --
While traditional bartending schools see the number of admitted students trickle off this time of year, Next Generation Bartending School (Nexgen) is seeing the opposite. Student enrolment is rising and many of their students are coming away with great jobs to help through the winter months. Generally speaking, most people enroll into bartending schools late spring and early summer to help increase their chances of landing a great summer bartending job. While this strategy has worked for many, others have been discouraged during this highly competitive time and have opted to enroll during the less busy months. The result has been beneficial to the many that have enrolled into Nexgen’s program this season. Although staff hiring in clubs, restaurants and bars peeks in the summer months and slows in the cooler months so does the competition. By obtaining your bartending certification during these slower months you are giving yourself an advantage. Even if you don’t land the job until next summer, at least you got your resume out and have become a more familiar face then those that will only just start looking for employment next summer.
