With the US presidential election now over a survey conducted at www.SurveyGalaxy.com asked a global audience how they would vote if the fictional US president of the TV series The West Wings Jed Bartlett really was the US president seeking re-election.
With over 2,000 people responding 71% of who were American an overwhelming 91% said that they would vote for Jed Bartlett. When asked if they would vote for the actor Martin Sheen if he ever ran for US president 27% said they would vote for him and 32% indicated that they might.
Only 6% of those polled thought that a serving president should resign if, as in the TV series, the president suffered from MS and kept it from the electorate. 27% thought that if real life, Jed Bartlett’s presidency would be remembered as the finest US president.
