November 14, 2004 (Press Release) --
Pheromones are chemicals that are secreted in our sweat (and other bodily fluids). Mammals and other animals also secrete pheromones, and scientists have long known that these pheromones are natural sexual attractants that wield a powerful influence on their mating habits.
Scientists have identified the chemical, androstenone, as the male pheromone. In addition to increasing the animal magnetism of a man, androstenones bring about an increase in the luteinizing hormone (LH) in a woman who happens to be nearby -- thereby causing a woman to have a heightened sexual responsiveness to a man.
The compound, copulin, on the other hand, has been identified as the female pheromone. When optimized, copulins bring about a testosterone surge in men, thereby causing a man to have a heightened sexual responsiveness to a woman.
According to a recent report published in the London publication, The Independent, scientific research shows that by releasing female pheromones (copulins), women may trick men into believing that that they are more attractive than they actually are.
Among other things, users of optimized androstenones and copulins have reported that ...
* they've become seductive and desirable to the opposite sex
* they had sex more often
* they've been able to attract the man/woman of their dreams
* their sex appeal has dramatically improved; and
* they've been able to arouse romantic feelings in the opposite sex
* they've been able to get more dates
* and they've even gained a competitive edge in business affairs.
A word of caution. Not all commercially available androstenones and copulins are created equal. Pheromone vendors that carry optimized pheromones for men and optimized pheromones for women are rare.
McCall’s Magazine: “Pheromones can improve one’s sex life, pheromones send out subconscious signals to the opposite sex that naturally trigger romantic feelings.”
There are naturally occurring pheromones -- such as the ones your own body secretes -- and there are also pheromones that are synthesized in the laboratory. It has been proven that people who produce higher than average amounts of pheromones have greater success with members of the opposite sex. Conversely, people who don't produce a lot of pheromones tend to attract fewer potential mates.
This is where synthesized pheromones can give you an unfair advantage that Mother Nature never gave you. Even if you're one of the fortunate people who secretes abundant quantities of natural pheromones, the pheromones you do produce are usually washed away when you shower or bathe. Alas, the secret to a healthy sex life is literally being washed "down the drain" -- all in the name of personal hygiene!
This then begs the question: Are synthesized pheromones as effective as naturally occurring ones?
In a world where "natural" is almost always better, the opposite is true when it comes to pheromones. Curiously enough, pheromones synthesized from human pheromones often have a significantly more potent effect than the naturally occurring pheromones, particularly when they're optimized (i.e, having behavior-altering properties).
