November 20, 2004 (Press Release) --
LOCAL REVIEW OF ELICIT SHOW!
Thursday night at DiPiazza’s in Long Beach, the newest punk rock band on the scene, Elicit, stole the crowd. The trio, out of a small neighborhood in Indiana, filled the venue with energy and excitement. Their colossal performance clearly showed their dedication to music. These guys are going places, and fast.
Elicit rocked the show with a performance of “3 Chord” a true punk song with inclement lyrics. With a 70’s riff compilation intro and dissonant chords that ring in your ears it’s impossible to not get into it. Christine Baker, student at USC, happened to catch the show. “Elicit brings you back to the real old school punk. There’s nothing pop about them and that’s real.”
Their sound echoes with power and fuels their listeners with energy. Elicit’s stage presence is definitely the driving force behind their music with lots of drum diving, spitting, and the occasional fainting. You can feel their thunderous desire and passion for performing from the very last seat in the house. With raw vocals and dance moves that put everyone on their feet, Elicit is the next punk rock band to go big on the scene. Keep your eyes on this young trio because in the next few years you won’t be able to miss them.
