November 21, 2004 (Press Release) --
After playing a bit role in a low-budget, direct to DVD action film, Russ Metcalf shines bright in a sea of actors. Until recently discovered, he had played small roles in little pictures. On November 9th 2004, Metcalf nabbed the leading role in what a few are saying will be the biggest bang for your buck flick of 2005 an action milestone that will surpass even the most jaded viewer. The name of the movie is "Intel" (Black Meadow Productions). Director of the film Bryon Blakey was quoted in saying "After seeing his other efforts, I knew we had to have him.". After a skim of the script, I realized it would certainly launch Russ Metcalf's career to the stratosphere. The checks and balances of the commen movie viewer will be the judge.
Russ has a passion for entertaining people. He is often found on a stage somewhere in the midwest doing his always hillarious stand up act. It is quite a contrast from comedy to setting himself ablaze for a scene in "Crime Family". Stuntman Steve Kelly offered to do the stunt for him because of the potential danger, but Russ insisted that he prefer to do his own stunts whenever possible. Body burns from the waist up are a serious matter and Metcalf executed it like a pro.
His versatility is no doubt the reason he will be getting the leading role, Chuck Macon in Black Meadow Productions next endeavor "Intel". It is an action adventure that takes place in the volitile country, Cambodia. Russ will be playing a combat experienced Military Science Professor/Ex Military Special Ops Commander. His son goes to Cambodia for a soccer exhibition game and is kidnapped with the soccer team. Chuck Macon takes it on himself to bring his son back safe and alive.
You can get a copy of his last movie "Crime Famiy" at www.bestbuy.com or www.moviemarkdvd.com and many others. It will soon be released in the video rental market. Viewers will definitely be seeing more of this amazing actor. You'll be hearing the name Russ Metcalf a lot in the months to come. It's great to see one of the good guys win. Russ good luck with your career.
