November 22, 2004 (Press Release) --
In Knox City in the foothills of Mount Dandenong on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia, churches and other groups have displayed a Nativity scene representing peace and the birth of Christ at Christmas each year.
One has been erected for many years outside the council on busy Burwood Highway by the Knights of the Southern Cross, a community service group that helps St Vincent De Paul and other charities.
A few years back the council offered to pay for a new design that was also meaningful to non Christians, many of whom have been migrating to Australia in recent years.
A Sign was tastefully added to the nativity scene loudly proclaiming PEACE ON EARTH. Now Knox is developing the Peace theme with schools, police, churches, service clubs etc, towards a safer community and being proclaimed one of the few Peace Cities in the word. But a picture is worth a thousand words so please visit http://peace.ndk.biz
My Chrismas wish is that all cities follow Knox and devlop their own path towards PEACE ON EARTH.

Peace on Earth has long been associated with Christmas and the birth of Christ, but what is the Christmas wish of non Christians?
