November 25, 2004 (Press Release) --
CORONA, CALIF. - November 24, 2004 - Ivascu Consulting, an independent custom solutions provider, today announced the launch of a new custom Java-based application for PUFC, Inc., a non-profit organization in Upland, Calif., to replace their in-house Visual Basic application. The new software package, jPUCUI, based on Java technology, has a multi-tier architecture and relies on proven open-source technologies for low costs and high reliability.
jPUCUI integrates with Microsoft's Active Directory, a Microsoft SQL Server database, and uses the Java Web Start technology for ease of installation and upgrade with low maintenance. The client communicates with the server using object serialization tunneling over HTTP. This architecture allows PUFC to easily add functionality without impacting end-users.
The approach is not only flexibile, but also meets PUFC management goals of:
- A better-designed interface
- Additional functionality
- Low maintenance
- An architecture better suited for enterprise use
"We look forward to helping PUFC meet and exceed their partner expectations for years to come," emphasized Alex Ivascu, Ivascu Consulting's President, "they are exactly the type and size of company that Ivascu Consulting helps through customized software solutions."
"Ivascu consulting has been a very effective business partner. They took initiative in our solution and worked with us to provide services which met our business requirements.", Nickolas adds "Their commitment to quality and fast turn around on issues, provided a painless migration."
