November 25, 2004 (Press Release) --
The 2004 e-Financial WorldExpo, hosted by WowGao in Toronto on November 18 & 19, was tremendously successful. The event gathered recognition and acclaim from attendees and vendors throughout the financial services and IT industry.
The first day of the conference began with an industry VIP networking breakfast, attracting numerous influential C-level, senior technology and business executives from major financial services providers and IT vendors, including Mellon Financial Corp., IBM, Dell, BMO Financial, Oracle, RIM, RBC Financial, Scotiabank, ILog, Kofax, and many more.
Keynote presentations were among many highlights of the first day. The morning keynote, delivered by Amy G. Harkins of Mellon Financial Group in front of a standing room only crowd, focused on the topic of Offshore BPO, and outlined strategies for successful implementations. The afternoon keynote, focusing on Web Business Intelligence and Integration technologies, was presented in front of a sold-out crowd, by a panel of executives from Information Builders, GGOF and Moneris Solutions, and also received great praise.
The second day of the conference produced excitement that reached a fever pitch, as registrants attended sessions, and filled out raffle tickets, as they anxiously awaited their chance at winning a pair of NBA Toronto Raptor tickets, or a RIM Blackberry. At the end of the day, 50 pairs of courtside Toronto Raptor tickets were awarded to attendees, and a lucky recipient now owns a new RIM Blackberry.
Being the first large-scale event in Toronto with a theme on enterprise IT solutions for the financial services industry, the 2004 e-Financial WorldExpo serves as a blueprint for future events that target such a critical niche market.
