Agua Design, a web and interactive design company located in Hamburg, New York, unveiled its new interactive bulletin board to the public on Thursday, October 21, 2004.
"Our new board gives Agua Design an opportunity to showcase our services and help fellow small business owners at the same time," said Tracy Heyd, Agua Design president.
The board, which is run just like an internet forum, is open to the public. It is powered by phpBB (http://phpBB.com), a relatively new form of Open Source software. While users are not required to register in order to post, they are encouraged to do so and will receive some perks. Topics of discussion range from Agua Design and its services to small business introductions and tips. Users are encouraged to frequent the board to network with fellow small business owners. There's even a section where users can post current sales or discounts their businesses are running.
"Not only can we answer questions about our services, but we can give advice and tips to our users. We're all in this fight together," said Heyd.
