December 13, 2004 (Press Release) --
Montana’s Newest computer forensics investigator
Columbia Falls, MT -- local Montana resident Jeremy Martin of the Flathead Valley has recently earned the designation of Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI). The CHFI proves that Jeremy has the knowledge and skill to seize digital forensic evidence in a way that can be admissible in the court of law and able to act as an expert witness in a case involving cybercrime. This credential fits well with other credentials he holds. He is also a certified EC-Council instructor, and has already taught the CHFI curriculum in Mississippi earlier this month.
Jeremy Martin of Columbia Falls, MT started in the computer industry in 1996 as a network engineer and has worked to achieve the honors of CISSP, ISSMP, ISSAP, CEI, CEH, CHFI, CCNA, Network+, and A+. He teaches information security courses including professional hacking, digital forensics investigation, and ISC2’s CISSP for IT professionals across the US. He has authored several articles in industry publications. Since early 2000, he has held the title of Director of Communications of PLUSS Corporation in Northwest Montana. PLUSS Corporation is a service and consulting firm focusing on the automotive and heavy-duty trucking industries. He specializes in telecommunications security along with application development and database management. Jeremy has built EDI integrations to manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Freightliner, and International through a Business Management System he has been involved with. Martin is an active member of several of the industry’s leading associations (ISC)˛, ISACA, ISSA, NTEA-YEN, and OISSG.
The CHFI can fit Jeremy’s Tier 3 Security course very nicely. The Tier 3 Security course was developed to give any Information Security professional the skills and knowledge they need to successfully do their jobs well. It currently is based around the CISSP, but ties in the Certified Ethical Hacking, CompTIA’s Security+, and CompTIA’s Network+ to give the attendee a more thorough understanding about the InfoSec profession. “I am very interested in encompassing the CHFI in the Tier 3 Security outline. This may increase the course to a full 2 weeks.” Jeremy said. “The CHFI has great coverage. EC-Council has done a wonderful job with the courseware.”
