December 13, 2004 (Press Release) --
Saturday, January 15th, from 1 to 4 p.m. at The South Fulton Regional Library is the place to be if you're a
Mom looking to start a home based business.
Carrie Lauth, founder of the Business Moms Expo, has hosted two successful events in her home of Dallas, GA,
and decided to take the event to South Fulton county where she was raised.
"Historically, this is a time of year when many people are thinking about ways to earn extra income, resolving
to get out of debt, and looking for ways to legally reduce their taxable income.
A home business is a great way to accomplish all of those goals."
"Additionally, some Moms are looking for businesses they can do online, and yet are concerned about being
taken for a ride or getting into something that isn't legitimate. We find that when Moms are able to
speak in person to someone who is successfully working from home, it helps allay their concerns and gives
them confidence to take action."
Mrs. Lauth has been working from home since her first child was born over 6 years ago, and is committed
to helping Moms like herself avoid scams and build successful home based businesses. Her website,
http://www.business-moms-expo.com has many resources, including a free newsletter, to help Moms find and then
grow their businesses online.
Tiffani Smith of Fairburn, Ga, a friend of Mrs. Lauth's who owns a medical and dental discount services business,
was a vendor at the first Expo and says "I was pleasantly surprised at the turnout...I received great exposure,
gained many contacts and was able to build my client base."
Cyndi Garrison, who participated in the last Expo, successfully grew her scrapbooking business and also
helped another Mom start a business of her own.
The event is free to the public and children are welcome.
