One of our goals is to persuad Nevada Casinos to provide syndicated sports book wagering on bowlers. Where gambling is not legal the BetOnBowler's 50/50 Pickaplayer TM Format will be used.
You can bet on horses, football and other sports, so why not bet on bowlers? Each game 10 bowlers rotate into the Potgame Area to compete for thousands of dollars while spectators select their favorite players to win and every event raises money for charity. We currently have 18 sponsors and our manufacturing sponsors have contributed more than $5,000 worth of bowling gear that can be won by bowlers and spectators in various ways.
The finals of the first BetOnBowler's event will take place at Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, Sunday, January 30th, 2005 at noon and the following contest will be used to illustrate the potential of the B.O.B. Format TM.
The top sixty bowlers bowl 6 games. Each game 10 bowlers rotate to the Potgame Area (lanes 11-14). Prior to each game spectators can enter the 50/50 Pickaplayer Raffle TM. This is similar to a traditional 50/50 fundraiser raffle, but it's a two-step process. Each game spectators select their favorite bowler(s) to win. Tickets are $1.00. If they select the bowler who won the game in the Potgame area, their ticket(s) will advance to the 50/50 raffle and the winner of the random drawing splits the money in the pot with the Colorado River Food Bank. Bowlers in the Potgame Area will also be competing to win bowling balls, bags, shirts and gift certificates from our sponsors.
At Riverside Lanes, bowlers and spectators will be able to enter drawings to win bowling gear provided by our sponsors and anyone can enter the online Pickaplayer Contest for free at 123potgames.com. The money raised for the product drawing will be added to the purse in the 7th game.
First place is $10,000,* 2nd, $5,000* and the purse in the Bowler Potgame area will be worth $2,500.* *Calculations are based on entries and one out of four cash.
