December 15, 2004 (Press Release) --
Tampa, Florida, December 15, 2004 – MediaBUZZ Creative Media, a new full-service creative marketing agency, launches a new service for national media account executives. Along with offering traditional and innovative marketing support services, MediaBUZZ’s Virtual Assistant Service allows clients to outsource their creative work to focus on building and maintaining their accounts, in addition to taking time off from work without falling behind schedule. Using the Internet as a “cyber-office”, the new service is done completely via email.
A former Philadelphia radio morning show producer, owner Ivette Rivera launched mediaBUZZ Creative Media in 2000 after being “blacklisted” by the Tampa Bay radio station where she worked. “I couldn’t even get a job as a board op after that. Sure, I could get a nine-to-five but after working in the industry for a few years, it’s not an easy adjustment. mediaBUZZ was my way of having my creative outlet while paying the bills via a regular job.”
“It started out a few years ago with a couple of friends,” states Ms. Rivera, “local advertising executives, inquiring if I would be interested in freelancing so that they could call-out from work to go golfing or spend the day at the beach. So, I did the work while they played. Everything was done via email and the Internet, so they never skipped a beat at work. If anything, their projects were so professionally impressive that they gained more clients because of it. Some of their bosses suspected they were outsourcing their work but because it helped them maintain their billing and bring in new business, they allowed them to continue. And because I was “blacklisted”, they could never tell anyone that I did the job. It snowballed so fast it went from just me to a national “tribe” of freelancers, allowing us to complete a project much sooner than some of the traditional agencies.”
Ms. Rivera maintains a confidentiality agreement with all of her services. “All clients have the option of being given a user name and password, just in case their boss calls up to see if any of their executives are using the service, which has happened on several occasions. We don’t sell names or post a client’s project on our web site unless they give the “okay”. We are fine working behind the scenes. It’s where the fun is!”
