December 18, 2004 (Press Release) --
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Oradell (NJ) and Sarasota (FL). PuppyPurse, creator of the hot, new, exciting “must-have” accessory for small dogs and puppies, will exhibit its chic and glamorous designer pet carriers as part of “A Dog’s Night Out” at Saks 5th Avenue in Sarasota, Florida, on January 7, 2005.
Sponsored by Saks 5th Avenue, The Penny Hill Group, and the Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation, “A Dog’s Night Out” will benefit the Animal Rescue Coalition (ARC) of Sarasota.
The event includes a doggie fashion show, a doggie boutique, a pet psychic, entertainment, food, and more. Tickets for dogs and their human companions are available through ARC at 941-957-1955, ext.7.
PuppyPurse co-owners Suzanne Sherman and Hedy Grant believe it is important to support organizations that help lost, abandoned, and unwanted pets. “Abandoned pets need all the love and support we can give them as we help them find new, loving homes,” said Ms. Sherman.
PuppyPurse is also a wonderful, safe, and stylish way to carry a small pup that is infirm, disabled, or has just had surgery. Ms. Grant noted that, “Many people worry that they will hurt their post-op pup but they feel much less anxious when they use a PuppyPurse.” PuppyPurses will lessen the strain on both the pup and the person according to veterinarians.
About the Company: Co-owners Suzanne Sherman (originally from Lexington, MA) and Hedy Grant (originally from Brooklyn, NY) met at law school in New Hampshire. They practiced law in adjoining counties in New Jersey for many years before starting PuppyPurse in early 2004. Ms. Sherman and Ms. Grant support charities and other good causes. They donate 10% of the proceeds of the sale of their Bark-for-the-Cure PuppyPurse (a white fleece PuppyPurse with a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon design) to breast cancer research.
