[Memphis, TN 2004] – The MemphisRap.com Urban Music Showcase will be returning to its scheduled showcase of performances. Artists in the genres of Rap/Hip-Hop, Holy Hip-Hop, R&B and Neo-soul selected from the MemphisRap.com Urban Music Showcase finals held on November 20th, 2004 will showcase their talents this January 16th, 2005 at the New Daisy Theater (330 Beale Street in Downtown Memphis) in front of influential members of the music and entertainment industry including confirmed guests and celebrity judges Sony™ Urban Music, Rey Flemings (President/CEO of the Memphis and Shelby County Music Commission), Wes Phillips of Select-O-Hits Distribution, Melvin Jones of Gilliam Music, radio personality and TV producer Tina Tilton, Nate Boogie of K97 FM, Jeff Adams of Response Records, Leon Beck of Orange Mound Records and Parade, former V.P. of Def Jam Records Aretimus "Peppa Mouth of The South” Williams, Amie Tilton Host of television show Video Waves, Ricardo Hunter of Pacesetter Records/Hunter Promotions and many more.
MemphisRap.com's Co-Director and Founder of MusiqQueen.com, Charla D. Littlejohn, commented, "We are truly glad that so many artists, producers and companies are now supporting MemphisRap.com and the talent Memphis has to offer especially the Rap/Hip-Hop genre. Special guest performances are Tom Skeemask, Chopper Girl of The Hoodoo Labs Clique, J-Mack of X-Camp, Ms. Kra-Z, Playa Panne, R&B sensation Amber Houston, Holy Hip-Hop group LudaChristians with special invited guests legendary rapper and “Hustle & Flow” actor Al Kapone, MemphisRap.com’s (Female Artist of The Year) Choice Award nominee La Chat, Three 6 Mafia and many more.
The performance schedule, advanced tickets and VIP passes will be available shortly on the official showcase website (www.memphisrap.com/showcase/tickets) Advanced tickets are $15 and $20 at the door.
Accreditation - All press and media can get all-access passes/admittance by faxing requests to (901) 332-3504 on your company letterhead (Attn.: Media Dept.) or e-mailing media@memphisrap.com. Press credential forms will also be available on-line at www.memphisrap.com/showcase/press. Requests must be pre-approved prior to opening night. Industry and press will get clearance on opening night at 7:30 p.m. sharp on January 16 at the Industry/Press section at the New Daisy Theater.
