Best: Janet Jackson's "Wardrobe Malfunction" defense
Setting off a firestorm of controversy during her raunchy Super Bowl halftime show (with Justin Timberlake), Janet Jackson's "accidental" nipple-flashing not only shocked America, but changed TV. Delays on shows as vacuous as "The View" and tighter FCC regulations made the world question what was indeed profane. Worst: Ashlee Simpson's "Acid Reflux" defense
Ha! Busted! Ashlee Simpson's "Saturday Night Live" lip-sync debacle was embarrassing but hardly surprising. So how did she sneak out of it? A simple apology? Microphone troubles? Nope. Acid reflux.
