Nov. 21/04 - Chronicle Journal
"...Snow Daze will provide parents and caregivers with pletny of ideas for things they can do to make winter a happy time for kids."
Dec. 14/04 - Interview with Lisa Loco of CBC Radio
About the Author: With all the complexities of the world today, we sometimes forget the joy, the innocence, and the wisdom that children can offer us. As temperatures dip, and water turns to ice, the mature adults scurry for the warmth of their castle. The child, armed only with mittens, a snowsuit, and six-foot scarf will face the elements and find a silver lining behind every snowdrift.
Marcia (Kamstra) Arpin is always an ally to these Winter Warriors. She is an experienced Early Childhood Educator, an artist, and a mother. In her various roles, she observes, suggests, and guides her troop through another day in the great White North. Is the book just reminiscences of victories against these icy elements? Perhaps. It is also a practical collection of ideas shared while she was facilitating at professional workshops.
Marcia currently resides in Thunder Bay, Ontario with her husband and two children.
