January 4, 2005 (Press Release) --
SANFORD, FL - (January 3, 2005) - Black Native American.info, is maintained by Charles E. Kirk II, Beverly Chan and Bobette Kirk. We have blended our love for family and history in hopes to promote Americans to build stronger communities and for a re-birth of pride in the American Family, as one Nation under God.
Although we were raised in California everyone knew we were from Oklahoma, now we are ready for the world to know. Naturally the site will pre-launch at home to pay homage to our forefathers. As the site grows the leaves on the tree will blossom with the history of the promise land Oklahoma, the first almost all black state in America. Oklahomans that connect to the BNA (Black Native American) database are encouraged to contact us at TheFamily@BlackNativeAmerican.info and become part of history.
Therefore, with quarterly updates BlackNativeAmerican.info is not just another family tree, it’s an educational reference and a vital research tool.
On January 17, 2005 Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the site will officially launch in time for Black History Month. With a database of surnames that include some of Oklahoma's most prominent early settlers Rentie, McIntosh, Grayson, Foreman, and men like Harry Island, Cow Tom, John J. Jefferson and Pickett Rentie.
