DAN RATHER WILL REPORT FROM AREAS AFFECTED BY THE TSUNAMI FOR “60 MINUTES WEDNESDAY” AND THE “CBS EVENING NEWS”
60 MINUTES WEDNESDAY correspondent Dan Rather will report from Asia about the effort to provide relief to those affected by the Dec. 26 tsunami. Rather toured the Indonesian town of Banda Aceh and also spoke with relief workers, including Americans aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, for his report, which will be broadcast on 60 MINUTES WEDNESDAY (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) Jan. 5 on the CBS Television Network. Rather will also co-anchor the CBS EVENING NEWS from the tsunami-affected region this week. Josh Howard is the executive producer of the 60 MINUTES WEDNESDAY and Elliot Kirschner and Christopher Martin are the producers.
