January 7, 2005 (Press Release) --
Karen Magill, a Vancouver Canada authoress, has released a novella entitled ‘The Bond, A Paranormal Love Story’.
“I was looking for another way for two people to meet” Ms. Magill states, “and this is what I came up with.”
A woman, Laura Neill, in Vancouver is struck while crossing the street. At the same time in Toronto a car also strikes Julian Rule.
When both have an out of body experience, their ethereal forms bond as one before separating - each taking a part of the other’s soul with them as they return to their bodies. They are truly soul mates.
When he senses that she is in danger – a feeling that is confirmed by a psychic friend – Julian goes to Vancouver to come to her aid. With the help of a detective, Julian is able to prove that Laura’s fiancée is a con artist and a murderer. When Julian confronts the man, he and Laura are placed in imminent danger.
Feedback has been positive with the novella being compared to the writings of ‘Victoria Holt’. One reader states: “With a little mystery, a little bit of crime-drama, a little bit of the paranormal (hence the title!) and a whole lot of heart, Karen Magill has created a story that will keep you up late reading and up even later thinking.” Another reader has remarked, “there are enough twists and kinks in this romantic, scary and endlessly surprising thriller to supply a dozen Alfred Hitchcock films.”
It’s a novella to pass along to believers and non-believers alike. If you’re looking for a thriller with a perfect blend of romance, the supernatural and suspense, this is it!
