January 18, 2005 (Press Release) --
Advanced Machine and Tool Corporation (AMT), located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has selected Encompix to integrate all areas of their business under a single system. The initial sale is for a 12-user system including APS and Shop Floor Data Collection. AMT are looking to add BOMLink in the near future to integrate their design engineering with operations and eliminate redundant data entry.
From a modest beginning with only a handful of skilled toolmakers, AMT has become a world leader as a manufacturer of stator production machines for the electric motor industry. In 2000, AMT expanded the engineering building to 70,000 sq. ft. and its organization now consists of seven offices/factories, 155 employees and average annual turnover of 24 million dollars.
Encompix (www.encompix.com) has filled the manufacturing software requirements of Engineer-to-Order companies since 1992. The company name reflects our commitment to developing business application solutions that encompass the complex areas of project-based and job-based manufacturing.
According to TR Cutler, spokesperson for the ETO Institute (www.etoinstitute.org), “No other ETO Software manufacturer has done more to advance the knowledge and education about the unique aspects of Engineer-to-Order manufacturers. This leadership position voluntarily assumed by Encompix in North America is commendable and needed in an environment when manufacturers may not recognize the process distinctions versus industry sector differentiation.”
Encompix provides ETO manufacturers with a competitive advantage by improving bottom line results.
